Eight police officers, including DSP Chand, honored for arresting weapon attack suspects in Kailali
Dhangadhi: The District Police Office, Kailali, has awarded eight police officers, including Chief Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ran Bahadur Chand of the Area Police Office, Malakheti.
The officers were recognized for their active participation in the investigation of the weapon attack on Gaurav Air of Dadeldhura in Attariya, and for apprehending the accused while they were fleeing towards India. Kailali Chief Superintendent of Police (SP) Narendra Chand stated that the officers received cash awards in recognition of their dedicated work. He praised their commitment, noting their excellent efforts day and night.
A joint team from Malakheti and the District Police Office arrested 12 individuals, including Sunny alias Bhim Nepali, accused of committing hooliganism under the name of Cobra Sarkar in Dhangadhi and attacking Gaurav Air with a sharp weapon, while attempting to flee to India. Police have filed a murder case against two of the arrested individuals and continue their investigation, according to the report.
