Female voters outnumber male voters in Sudurpaschim province
Chaumala: The updated voter list for the upcoming House of Representatives elections on Falgun 21 shows that female voters now outnumber male voters in Sudurpaschim Province. According to the Provincial Election Office, there are 864,423 female voters and 852,219 male voters, with an additional 18 voters, making the number of female voters 12,402 higher than male voters.
Premraj Bhatta, Chief of the Provincial Election Office, stated that a total of 1,716,660 voters have been registered across the province. This marks an increase of 47,249 voters compared to the 1,669,411 registered in the 2079 BS election.
The provincial voter distribution is as follows: 551,052 in Kailali, 314,385 in Kanchanpur, 156,372 in Baitadi, 92,948 in Darchula, 93,403 in Dadeldhura, 126,903 in Bajhang, 165,337 in Achham, 128,399 in Doti, and 86,961 in Bajura.
The Provincial Election Office has also established 1,176 polling stations and 2,199 polling centers throughout Sudurpaschim to facilitate the elections.
