CPN-UML appoints Ganesh Singh Thagunna as election commander for Sudurpaschim Province

Dhangadhi: The CPN-UML has appointed provincial and departmental coordinators in preparation for the upcoming elections. The party’s central secretariat meeting decided on leaders to serve as coordinators at both provincial and central levels.

According to the meeting’s decision, Ganesh Singh Thagunna has been appointed as the coordinator for Sudurpaschim Province. He will be responsible for strengthening the party organization, formulating election strategies, and ensuring the effectiveness of party activities.

Other provincial coordinators include Sherdhan Rai for Koshi Province, Leelanath Shrestha for Madhesh Province, Mahesh Basnet for Bagmati Province, Dr. Rajan Bhattarai for Kathmandu Valley, Khagraj Adhikari for Gandaki Province, and Yamalal Kandel for Karnali Province.

Bhanubhakta Dhakal has been assigned as the coordinator of the party’s Organization Department, which will manage party expansion, membership, and internal organizational strengthening.

Sources stated that the coordinator for Lumbini Province is yet to be finalized and will be announced soon. These coordinators are expected to play an active role in election-focused strategy, organizational strengthening, and public engagement for the party.
