Sudurpaschim election security committee inspects borders and polling stations

Dodhara Chandani: The Sudurpaschim Provincial Election Security Committee conducted an on-site inspection of the Gaddachauki checkpoint in Kanchanpur, bordering India, as well as several polling stations in Bhimdatta and Dodhara Chandani.

The inspection team, led by Chief Secretary of Sudurpaschim Province Vaikuntha Prasad Aryal, Provincial Police Chief Om Bahadur Rana, and Acting Brigade Chief of the Armed Police Force Baidyanath Brigade Digvijay Subedi, assessed the security arrangements at the border areas and polling stations today.

The Gaddachauki border checkpoint has been sealed since midnight on Monday ahead of the House of Representatives election scheduled for Thursday, with movement restricted only to essential services.
