Mobile phones and cameras prohibited at polling stations in Kanchanpur
Kanchanpur: The District Administration Office, Kanchanpur, has urged voters not to bring mobile phones, cameras and other prohibited items to polling stations during the House of Representatives member election scheduled for Thursday.
In a notice issued on Wednesday, the office clarified that such items will not be permitted inside polling stations in order to ensure that the election is conducted in a free, fair, peaceful and fear-free environment.
Assistant Chief District Officer Mohan Chandra Joshi stated that voters and other individuals entering polling stations will be barred from carrying matches, lighters, flammable solid or liquid substances, cameras for taking photographs, mobile phones and other restricted items.
The administration has warned that any prohibited items brought into polling stations will be immediately confiscated and legal action will be taken in accordance with the law.
