All preparations completed for house of representatives elections, commission urges confident participation
Kathmandu: The Election Commission has announced that all preparations for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for tomorrow, Falgun 21, have been completed.
Speaking at a press conference organized today on the eve of the elections, Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari informed that all necessary election materials have been delivered to polling stations across the country.
He clarified that the Commission is fully mobilized to ensure the successful conduct of the elections announced under the special circumstances created following the youth movement on Bhadra 23 and 24.
Acting Chief Commissioner Bhandari stated that the construction and management of polling stations have been completed. He added that polling stations have been made gender- and disability-friendly, with easy access ensured for all voters.
The Commission further stated that highly reliable peace and security arrangements have been put in place to allow voters to cast their ballots for the candidate and political party of their choice without any obstruction. It has appealed to all voters to participate enthusiastically in this historic democratic exercise and exercise their right to vote.
