Famous Badikedar fair to be held
Dhangadhi: A fair is scheduled to be held at Badikedar Temple in Doti on Jestha 17 and 18.
The temple is dedicated to Kedarnath Baba. It is believed that the childless will get children if they pray for them. Devotees from Nepal's Sudurpaschim Province, Dailekh in Karnali, and Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand in India come to worship at the temple. Worship and a fair are also held at the temple on Kartik Purnima and Mahashivaratri.
According to Upendra Bam, chairman of the Badikedar Area Tourism Development Committee, arrangements have been made to allow worship at the temple all year round. Bam, chairman of the committee, said that they have made full preparations for the management of the fair to be held along with the worship. He also said that ordinary food and accommodation will be arranged for those who come to the fair. Currently, there is no good food and accommodation arrangement. He also said that they are working to make that arrangement soon and build infrastructure.
