Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city trekking team welcomed in Api Himal rural municipality of Darchula

Dhangadhi: The Api Himal Base Camp trekking team of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City has been given a grand welcome in Api Himal Rural Municipality of Darchula.

The team, which set out with the aim of promoting tourism in Sudurpaschim Province, is currently entering Darchula and continuing its journey. Locals, public representatives, and employees of Api Himal Rural Municipality welcomed the team with musical instruments.

A 30-member team led by Mayor Gopal Hamal of the sub-metropolitan city departed from Dhangadhi on Monday with the slogan “We introduce our Far West.” The team aims to promote tourist destinations of the Api Himal region at national and international levels.

Mayor Hamal said the journey was organized at the initiative of the local government as a continuation of the “Beautiful Far West” campaign launched earlier when he was leading the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The team, which set out with a 10-day schedule, plans to travel to the designated location by vehicle and then proceed on foot to Api Himal Base Camp.
