CIAA concludes corruption in passport purchase case, decides to file case
Kathmandu: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has decided to file a corruption case after concluding that there was corruption in a passport purchase process.
Following the decision, a CIAA team has reached the Special Court carrying the case documents.
According to a high-ranking CIAA source, Tirtharaj Bhattarai and others have been named as defendants in the case, while the names of additional accused have not been disclosed.
Security arrangements at the Special Court have been tightened.
