Nepal–Oman economic cooperation promotion program organized in Oman

Kathmandu: The Nepali Embassy in Oman has organized a special program titled “Economic Partnership for Prosperity” with the objective of promoting trade, investment, tourism, and employment opportunities between Nepal and Oman.

The program, organized on Wednesday, was attended by more than 100 participants, including CEOs, directors, and managers of various companies and supermarkets, media persons, Nepali entrepreneurs, and representatives of the Nepali community in Oman.

On the occasion, Nepal’s Ambassador to Oman, Dornath Aryal, highlighted that there is ample potential for trade, investment, and tourism in Nepal and provided detailed information on priority areas for foreign investment.

According to the embassy, he urged Omani investors to explore opportunities available in Nepal, stating that Nepal can serve as an important bridge for trade, investment, and tourism due to its strategic location between two rapidly developing major economies, India and China.

Corporate and Litigation Advocate Khawla Mohammed Al Saduni discussed the practical aspects of Oman’s labor laws and regulations, as well as the legal framework that workers and employers must follow, along with ways to resolve labor disputes.

During the event, a video showcasing Nepal’s natural beauty, cultural diversity, and tourism potential was screened.

Participants were encouraged to explore potential cooperation between Nepal and Oman in the areas of trade, investment, and tourism.
