Two arrested with over two kilograms of Hashish from Hotel in Attariya

Dhangadhi: Police have raided a hotel in Attariya, Kailali and arrested two people with more than two kilograms of hashish. Based on confidential information about drug dealing at the Mamata Sekuwa Center in Attariya, Godavari Municipality-1, a joint team of the Area Police Office, Malakheti, and the Narcotics Control Bureau, Mahendranagar, carried out the raid at around 1:30 pm on Sunday.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Yogendra Timilsina, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Kailali, the arrested individuals are Shankar Kumar Shahi, 45, of Bhageshwor Rural Municipality-3, Dadeldhura, and Minraj Bhatta, 52, of Krishnapur Municipality-4, Kanchanpur. Shahi had been staying in the Godavari area, while Bhatta was residing in Dhangadhi.

Police said that 2 kg 205 grams of hashish was recovered from them. The police have stated that both arrested individuals are under control and further investigation into the drug-related offense is ongoing.
