22-year-old woman dies after being hit by a stone while mowing grass in Baitadi

Baitadi: A young woman died on the spot after being hit by a stone falling from above while mowing grass in Baitadi.

According to the District Police Office, Baitadi, 22-year-old Asmita Bhatta of Kalaun, Dasharathchand Municipality-1, had reached Kaildanda, Surnaya Rural Municipality-2, to mow grass on Monday morning. During the same process, the police said that she died on the spot at around 9:30 am when the ground collapsed and a stone fell from above.

According to the spokesperson of the District Police Office, Baitadi and Police Inspector Suraj Singh, preparations are being made to take the deceased's body to the district hospital for postmortem. The police said that further investigation into the incident is underway.
