Transport service office launched in east Kailali, expected to ease public access

Ghodaghodi (Kailali): Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has inaugurated the Transport Management Service Office in Balliya, Lamkichuha-4, Kailali during a program held today.

The establishment of the service office is expected to ease movement and access to services for residents of eastern Kailali. The office has been set up in Balliya to serve people from the eastern part of the district.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Shah said the provincial government is committed to delivering services to the public. He expressed confidence that the people of the region would experience relief with the operation of the Transport Management Service Office.

“People’s representatives should be responsible and accountable to the public, respecting the mandate given by the people,” he said. “For national development, there must be coordination, cooperation, and coexistence among all three levels of government.”

Chief Minister Shah informed that the provincial government has secured a multi-year contract resource worth Rs 1 billion in the current fiscal year for the development of the area. He also stated that a budget of Rs 45 million has been allocated for the Lamkichuha Provincial Hospital, adding that the amount will be frozen if the hospital is not brought into operation within the current fiscal year.

He further stated that the provincial government is ready to adopt legal flexibility if necessary to ensure the operation of the Lamkichuha Provincial Hospital. Emphasizing efforts to provide accessible health services, he said required flexibility would be exercised within the legal framework.

Highlighting the need for cooperation and coordination among all stakeholders, Chief Minister Shah stressed the importance of building the proposed Tikapur Science and Technology University in Tikapur. He noted the need to produce capable human resources to compete in the global market in the era of modern technology and expressed confidence that the university would help establish regional identity.

With the establishment of the service office, residents of Lamkichuha Municipality, Mohanyal Rural Municipality, Janaki Rural Municipality, Tikapur Municipality, Joshipur Rural Municipality, Bardagoriya Rural Municipality, and surrounding areas are expected to benefit.

Local resident Jhupre Rawat has provided his house free of charge for five years to facilitate the operation of the office. The program was chaired by Ward Chairman Tara Prasad Adhikari of Lamkichuha Municipality-4 and conducted by Ward Chairman Lav Bahadur Shahi of Ward No. 3.
