Rabi Lamichhane to be Re-elected as RSP Chairperson: General Secretary Burlakoti

Kathmandu: General Secretary of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Kavindra Burlakoti, has said that Rabi Lamichhane will be unanimously elected as the party’s chairperson at its first general convention.

Speaking to media personnel in Kathmandu on Thursday, General Secretary Burulakoti expressed the view that Lamichhane’s continuation as chairperson is almost certain. He stated that it would not be appropriate to create unnecessary competition or internal disputes for leadership, as the party aims to become stronger, more unified, and provide a direction for the country.

According to him, while it is natural for aspirants to emerge for various positions other than the chairperson, no formal discussions have been held so far regarding such posts.

He further informed that preparations for the convention are moving ahead rapidly, with various subcommittees formed to ensure its successful organization. The RSP has already decided to hold its first general convention in Chitwan on Asar 7, 8, and 9, coinciding with the party’s स्थापना दिवस (anniversary).
