Kathmandu: A tense situation emerged in Parliament for some time after opposition party MPs demanded time to speak during the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday.

After Prime Minister Balendra Shah left the meeting hall following his responses to questions raised by MPs from various parties, UML Chief Whip Ain Mahar, Labour Culture MP Dhruvraj Rai, and others sought time to address the House.

When the Speaker did not grant them time, a brief exchange took place between the MPs and the Speaker. During the incident, Rashtriya Swatantra Party MP Ashika Tamang became visibly angry with the opposition MPs.

Although fellow RSP MPs urged her to remain calm, she did not comply, prompting her colleagues to hold her hand and escort her out of the meeting hall.
