Three arrested with over 20 grams of heroin from Attariya

Dhangadhi: Three people have been arrested with more than 20 grams of heroin from Attariya, Godavari Municipality-2, Kailali.

Based on information about the sale and distribution of drugs, a team deployed from the Area Police Office, Malakheti, raided a room on Friday morning. During the raid, Dharmananda Bhatta, 43, of Bhimdatta Municipality-6, Kanchanpur, his 17-year-old daughter Asmita Bhatta, and Gopal Timilsena, 44, of Godavari Municipality-2, were found consuming drugs.

Police said that 20 grams and 240 milligrams of heroin-like powder that they were hiding was recovered during the search. The arrested individuals have been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.

Police said that this is the first major anti-drug operation led by DSP Hira Singh Mahara, Chief of the Area Police Office, Malakheti.
