Ashadhi Jatra begins at Tripurasundari Temple in Baitadi, devotees flock
Baitadi: The Ashadhi Jatra has begun at the famous Tripurasundari Bhagwati Temple in Baitadi. This festival, which is celebrated every year on the days of Asar Shukla Ashtami and Navami, has fallen in the month of Shrawan this year due to the extra month.
According to tradition, special worship of Bhagwati is performed on the night of Asar Shukla Ashtami, and the main Jatra takes place on the day of Navami. During the Jatra, it is customary to take Bhagwati on a chariot from the main temple of Tripurasundari Bhagwati to the temple in Kapadi village. After the worship is completed at Kapadi, Bhagwati is brought back to the main temple.
