India-assisted school building project launched in Kanchanpur
Kathmandu: A new building for Shree Maheshwor Secondary School in Bhimdatta Municipality-10, Kanchanpur is set to be constructed with assistance from the Government of India.
The foundation stone for the building was jointly laid today by Basisht Nandan, First Secretary at the Embassy of India in Nepal, and Neelam Lekhak Joshi, Deputy Mayor of Bhimdatta Municipality.
The construction will be carried out under the High Impact Community Development Project operated by the Embassy of India in Nepal and will be implemented through Bhimdatta Municipality. This marks the 11th project of its kind in Kanchanpur under the initiative. The project cost has been set at Rs 10.9 million.
Deputy Mayor Neelam Lekhak Joshi appreciated the support provided by the Government of India and expressed confidence that the new infrastructure will improve the learning environment for students and teachers in Bhimdatta Municipality.
