Minor arrested for brutally beating a bull and throwing it off a cliff in Baitadi

Baitadi: A minor from Baitadi has been arrested for beating a bull to death and throwing it off a cliff. The arrested person is a minor from Ladai, Patan Municipality-1, informed District Police Office Baitadi Spokesperson Police Inspector Suraj Singh.

Police arrested the minor involved in the incident after a video of the bull being beaten with a stick in a local forest and its leg broken and then thrown off a cliff went viral on social media.

The Area Police Office Patan had taken the minor who beat the bull and another person who made a video of the incident into custody. After questioning, the person who made the video was released and a case has been registered against the minor who beat the bull as per the prevailing law related to animals, according to the District Police Office Baitadi.

In the received video, the minor is seen beating the bull with a stick and breaking its leg. The bull is then heard chanting words like 'Jai Hanuman' as he throws it off the cliff. Police said they are investigating the incident further.
