Melauli Municipality awards nine top-performing students with cash prizes

Baitadi: Melauli Municipality in Baitadi has honored nine students from schools within the municipality for achieving outstanding results in the last academic session.

Students who secured outstanding results in Class 8, the Secondary Education Examination (SEE), and Class 12 were recognized during a formal program held on Tuesday.

According to the municipality, in the Class 8 category, Sachin Dhanadi of Sheetalpur Secondary School received Rs 20,000 for securing first position, Urmila Negi of the same school received Rs 15,000 for second position, and Pravesh Thagunna of Kamalpur Secondary School, Kotigaun, received Rs 10,000 for third position.

In the SEE category, Prashant Singh Bista of Sheetalpur Secondary School was awarded Rs 35,000 for securing first position, Sagar Negi of the same school received Rs 30,000 for second position, and Padam Joshi of Durga Secondary School received Rs 25,000 for third position.

Similarly, in the Class 12 category, Sagar Bhatt of Manilek Secondary School was awarded Rs 35,000 for first place, Sushant Singh of the same school received Rs 30,000 for second place, and Yogesh Bhatt of Durga Secondary School, Khaligad, received Rs 25,000 for third place.

Mayor Bhim Bahadur Chand stated that the awards were presented in accordance with the municipality’s annual policy and program. He added that the municipality has been consistently honoring top-performing students with cash prizes for the past three years to encourage academic interest, competitive spirit, and excellence among students.
