Prime Minister's cup cricket sudurpaschim selection to begin from Magh 12

Baitadi: The Sudurpaschim Selection for the Prime Minister's Cup One-Day National Cricket Tournament is scheduled to commence from Magh 12. The competition, organized by the Sudurpaschim Provincial Cricket Association, will be held at the Fapla Cricket Ground and will feature teams from all eight districts of the province.

According to the association's secretary, Laxman Dutta Bhatta, the eight participating teams have been divided into two groups. Group ‘A’ includes Kailali, Kanchanpur, Doti, and Achham, while Group ‘B’ comprises Baitadi, Dadeldhura, Darchula, and Bajhang.

The opening match of the tournament will see Kailali face Achham on Magh 12. Other matches in Group A include Kanchanpur vs Achham on Magh 13, Kailali vs Doti on Magh 14, Achham vs Doti on Magh 15, Kailali vs Kanchanpur on Magh 16, and Kanchanpur vs Doti on Magh 17.

Group B matches will feature Baitadi vs Darchula on Magh 18, Bajhang vs Darchula on Magh 19, Dadeldhura vs Bajhang on Magh 20, Dadeldhura vs Darchula on Magh 21, Baitadi vs Bajhang on Magh 22, and Dadeldhura vs Baitadi on Magh 23. The top teams from both groups will compete in the final on Magh 24.

The association stated that following the provincial selection, a team representing the Far West will be formed to participate in the national-level cricket tournament.
