Chief Minister Shah urges full compliance with traffic rules
Dhangadhi: Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has urged all concerned to fully comply with traffic rules. At a press conference held in Dhangadhi today, he stressed that it is mandatory to follow traffic rules to avoid possible accidents.
Chief Minister Shah came under criticism after audio-visual material of him riding a motorcycle without wearing a helmet at his residence premises was made public. Clarifying the incident, he said, “No one is small or big before the law. Everyone must follow the rules. That is why I have also paid the fine after being criticized for the material of riding a motorcycle without wearing a helmet. I have made the matter of paying the fine public to send a message that everyone should follow the rules for their safety.” Chief Minister Shah has paid a fine of Rs 500.
Meanwhile, as monsoon rains have become active, Chief Minister Shah has requested everyone to remain aware of possible problems that may arise due to rain in Sudurpaschim’s geographical conditions, rivers, roads, and other areas. He said that all mechanisms in the province are on alert after assessing potential risks and urged concerned bodies to remain prepared accordingly.
“The rain has started. Let us all be aware of the problems it may cause. The government is on alert regarding all security measures. Citizens and all concerned should also remain alert,” he said.
