Petroleum imports worth Rs 181.70 Billion through Birgunj border in 10 months
Birgunj (Parsa): Six types of petroleum products worth Rs 181 billion 70 million have been imported through the Birgunj border crossing over the past 10 months of the current fiscal year.
Compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year, imports through this border point have increased by Rs 25 billion 53 million, or 16.35 percent. During the corresponding 10 months of the previous fiscal year, petroleum imports were valued at Rs 156 billion 17 million.
According to Information Officer Uday Singh Bista at the Birgunj Customs Office, revenue worth Rs 67 billion 19 million has been collected from petroleum imports during the 10-month period of the current fiscal year.
During this period, 895,246 kiloliters of diesel worth Rs 157 million were imported. In the previous fiscal year’s 10-month period, 9,857 kiloliters of diesel worth Rs 790 million 57 million were imported.
Similarly, 390,615 kiloliters of petrol worth Rs 35.79 billion were imported, compared to 367,344 kiloliters worth Rs 31.71 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
Likewise, 242,731,150 kilograms of LPG gas worth Rs 25.54 billion were imported during the current fiscal year’s 10-month period, while 264,114,326 kilograms worth Rs 30.28 billion were imported in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
