Rastriya Swatantra Party office bearers and central members take oath following first general convention

Kathmandu: The elected office bearers and central members of the Rastriya Swatantra Party have taken the oath at the first national general convention. President Rabi Lamichhane administered the oath to the office bearers and central members at a program organized at the central office in Chamati today.

President Lamichhane presented certificates and a 'bell' to the newly elected central members. After the oath of the central members, President Lamichhane administered the oath to the elected office bearers.

The first general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party was held in Bharatpur, Chitwan from Ashad 20 to 24. The general convention elected a 99-member central committee including the president, two vice presidents, a general secretary and three joint general secretaries. Rabi Lamichhane, who was elected as the president, has already taken the oath.

Who are the central members of the Rastriya Swatantra Party?

33 people have been elected as central members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) from the open and inclusive category, 10 from the Khas/Aryan category, nine from the tribal/tribal category, two from the Tharu category, five from the Madhesi category, three from the Dalit category and two from the Muslim category. Similarly, 35 people have been elected from the regional group, five each from Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim. On the open side, Ravi Lamichhane, Dr Swarnim Wagle, Sovita Gautam, Shishir Khanal, Sagar Dhakal, Dr Tosima Karki, Ranju Neupane, Manish Jha, Hari Dhakal, Kavindra Burlakoti, Bipin Kumar Acharya, Ramesh Prasai, Virajbhakta Shrestha, Nisha Dangi, Indira Rana Magar, Ganesh Parajuli, Pukar Bam, Jagdish Kharel (Lalitpur), Sulab Kharel, Yagyamani Neupane, Pramod Neupane, Sasmit Pokharel, Rima Vishwakarma, Rajunath Pandey, Rajeev Khatri, Samishka Baskota, Ganesh Karki, Khagendra Sunar, Asim Shah, Himesh Pant, Jagdish Kharel (Dolakha), Geeta Chaudhary and Lima Adhikari have been elected Acharya.

The Central Election Commission has stated that Sushant Vaidik, Sudeep Dhakal, Hemraj Bhatt, Pradeep Bista, Dillishwar Karki (Rohan), Prakriti Dhakal, Tika Sangraula (Jwala), Krantishikha Dhital, Jamuna Sharma and Sushila Karki Pokhrel have been elected from the Khas/Arya category, Milan Limbu, Shankar Shrestha, Mingma Dandu Sherpa, Mahesh Lama, Dhruv Thapa (Magar), Ashika Tamang, Anushka Shrestha, Nisha Shrestha and Kushum Maharjan have been elected from the Adivasi/Tribal category.

Karishma Katharia and Ashokumar Chaudhary have been elected from the Tharu group, Bablu Gupta, Arvind Sah, Deepkumar Sah, Julie Yadav and Kamini Kumari Chaudhary have been elected from the Madhesi category, Vijay Jairu, Shiva Nepali, Sabina BK and Khima BK have been elected from the Dalit category, and Samina Mia and Rahbar Ansari have been elected from the Muslim category.

The commission has stated that Nisha Mehta, Bishwaraj Pokharel, Shobha Karki, Kalpana Thapa and Sujata Tamang were elected from Koshi, Sushma Basnet, Sunita Kumari Chaudhary, Namita Yadav, Manju Singh and Ankit Kumar Yadav from Madhes, Prabha Dhakal, Bidushi Rana, Akanksha Pokharel, Anita Shrestha and Parbati Thapa from Bagmati, Pavitra Thapa, Manish Khanal, Sagar Bhusal, Pooja Bastola and Bishnukumari Gurung from Gandaki.

Kalpana Pandey, Sangita Dhakal, Gyanu Paudyal, Devraj Pathak and Sharmila Khanal were elected from Lumbini, Sita Badi, Binita Kathayat, Tasi Lhajom, Menuka Shahi and Prakash Neupane from Karnali, and Hemraj Thapa, KP Khanal, Deepak Raj Bohara, Janika Joshi and Chandra Air Chandani from Sudurpaschim were elected.

6 office bearers

6 office bearers of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have been elected from the Bharatpur General Convention. After the first phase of the election of central members, the second phase of the election of office bearers was held.

Ravi Lamichhane was elected as the President and Swarnim Wagle as the Vice President for the open category unopposed from the General Convention. Similarly, Sobita Gautam was elected as the Vice President for the women category, Bipin Kumar Acharya as the General Secretary, Asim Shah and Hari Dhakal as the Joint General Secretary for the open category, and Nisha Dangi as the Joint General Secretary for the women category.
