Locals submit Memorandum demanding budget allocation for completion of Katai-Seti highway link road in Doti
Doti: Locals of Bogtan Foodsil Rural Municipality-1, Simchaur, Doti have submitted a memorandum to the rural municipality to complete the construction of a road connecting Katai Pokhartola to the Karnali-Seti highway, demanding the allocation of the necessary amount in the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84.
In the recommendation letter sent by Ward No. 1 Office to the rural municipality chair, it is mentioned that although the road cutting work has started with budget allocation in the previous fiscal years, the road has not yet reached Seti highway. Ward chair Khem Bahadur Magar informed that the road is very important for the movement, development and economic activities of the citizens of Bogtan area, and it has been recommended to the rural municipality to allocate the necessary budget by including it in the policy and program of the upcoming fiscal year.
The memorandum submitted by the locals states that the road is important not only for the Kattai settlement but also for the development of the entire Bogtan region, transportation of forest products, easy supply of materials required for infrastructure construction, marketing of agricultural products and promotion of tourism. It is believed that once the road is connected to the Seti Highway, the movement of local citizens will be facilitated, economic activities will expand and the economic progress of the entire region will be supported.
The memorandum urges that since the local government is the government closest to the people, it should identify the needs of the people and allocate the necessary budget by prioritizing road construction.
The memorandum has the signatures of 200 locals, including Jit Bahadur Malasi, Bhojraj Joshi, Indu Bohara, Uman Singh Bohara, Khadka Bahadur Bohara, Dammar Singh Bohara, Bhim Bahadur Bam, Tek Bahadur Khadka, Lal Bahadur Bam, Prakash Bam, Thamman Singh Bam, Gagan Nepali, Bhakta Nepali, Dal Bahadur BK, Sher Bahadur BK, Suresh BK, Amar Singh Khadka, Naresh Bahadur BK, Megh Singh BK, Bhajan Singh Khadka, Dan Bahadur Bohara, Tek Bahadur Bohara, Mohan Singh Bohara, Lal Bahadur Bohara and Krishna Bahadur Bohara.
