National Path Lab Provides Rs 1.555 Million for Flood Relief, Pledges Additional Rs 2 Million for Reconstruction

Dhangadhi: The National Path Lab and Research Center has provided Rs 1.555 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support relief, reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts for citizens affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River.

The National Path Lab said the assistance was provided as part of its social responsibility as an organization directly associated with the health sector, noting that disaster-affected areas face risks from contaminated water, inadequate sanitation and the spread of various infectious diseases.

Prioritizing health security
The National Path Lab believes organizations working in the health sector should mobilize their expertise and resources for social welfare, as relief, disease identification and prevention are equally important during disasters. In line with this responsibility, the organization has planned to contribute not only to immediate relief but also to the long-term reconstruction and rehabilitation of affected areas.

National Path Lab Managing Director Pawan Joshi has expressed a commitment to provide additional assistance of up to Rs 2 million in phases through various community-level programs in the education, health and other sectors of Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading, which have suffered heavy damage from the floods.

Commitment to support communities in collaboration with the government
National Path Lab believes government efforts in disaster management and the rehabilitation of affected citizens can be made more effective through private-sector collaboration and social responsibility. The company said it will continue to cooperate with the government, local communities and relevant stakeholders in the coming days and provide assistance based on need.

At a program organized at the Ministry of Finance, National Path Lab Board Member Sharad Bhusal and Director Asmita Adhikari handed over the assistance to Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle on behalf of the National Path Lab and Research Center.
