Youth arrested with suspected heroin in Belauri

Kanchanpur: A youth has been arrested with drugs from the Kalkatta Bazaar area of Belauri Municipality-8 in Kanchanpur.

A police team deployed from Police Post Pachui seized 1 gram and 330 milligrams of a powdery substance resembling heroin during a suspicious check on Tuesday evening.

The arrested individual has been identified as 20-year-old Dipesh Rana, a resident of Dekhadabuli, Krishnapur Municipality-3.

Police have taken him into custody along with the seized substance and stated that necessary legal action is being initiated. Further investigation into the incident is underway, according to police.
