14 People estimated to have been on board vehicle that fell into Karnali river

Dailekh: It is initially estimated that 14 people were on board a passenger vehicle that met with an accident in Chamunda Bindrasaini Municipality-7, Sangetada, Dailekh along the Karnali Highway.

According to the District Police Office, the vehicle with registration number K.P. 02-00Kh 1055, which was heading from Surkhet to Kalikot, fell about 400 meters below the road into the Karnali River on Sunday. The body of an unidentified man was found at the accident site, informed District Police Chief Superintendent of Police Shravan Kumar BK.

It is estimated that the vehicle lost control and fell into the river. A 35-member police team has been deployed at the accident site for rescue operations. Detailed information about the accident is yet to be released.
