Helicopters Rescue More Than 100 People Trapped in Rasuwa Floods

Kathmandu: More than 100 people trapped by floods in Rasuwa have been rescued by helicopter.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, 85 people were rescued from the Dhunche area, 13 from Timure, five from Mailung, four from Betawatri and three from Trishuli.

The rescue operations were carried out using helicopters operated by the Nepal Army and a private company.

The sudden flooding of the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on Wednesday caused major damage in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and Chitwan districts.
