Leishmaniasis threats Bajura

Two patients were diagnosed with leishmaniasis in Bajura. These are not the first cases of leishmaniasis in the hill station. Seven months back Bhagya Sahi was rushed to Kathmandu for treatment. But they failed to revive her. It’s astonishing to find cases of leishmaniasis there as it’s a tropical and subtropical climatic disease and is transmitted by sandflies, affecting either the skin or the internal organs.
