Happy Maghe Sankranti to all

Maghe Sankranti festival is being observed today. Sweets made out of sesame seeds and yams are eaten on this auspicious day. The state government has also declared the day as holiday. Maghe Sankranti is celebrated in a grand manner every year. Various ethnic communities celebrate thge day.  People celebrate the day on the banks of rivers by playing music, eating traditional food and drinking liquor and wearing traditional attires.
