District Police Office, Kailali accused of taking a bribe of Rs. 23 lakh

A tractor driver from Ghodsuwa was arrested for drinking and driving fifteen days ago. While, minister Roshan Singh of Nepal Tarun Dal was visiting the Police Station to bail him out where he met a thirty four year old Neeraj Bahadur Chand of Dasharatchand municipality Ward no. 4, Baitadi working in Rajasthan who was arrested in Attariya. Kailali police had prepared to leave Chand after three days in custody, but his relatives were uninformed and Roshan Singh was asked by the Chief Police Officer Abhushan Timalsina to bail him out as a guardian. The police has been allegedly accused of taking 23 lakh 38 thousand as bribe from Chand and has also informed the higher authorities of finding only 3 Lakhs from Chand. Indian Police is searching for him with the help of Nepal Police while the Indian media is giving it decent coverage.
