Provincial Teachers’ Conference Held at Sudurpaschim University

Mahendranagar: A one-day provincial teachers’ conference has concluded at Sudurpaschim University in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur. The conference was jointly organized by the Centre for Continuing and Professional Education under the School of Education at Kathmandu University and the Central Department of Education at Sudurpaschim University.

Held under the theme “The Future of Education in a Changing Landscape: Artificial Intelligence, Inclusivity, and Ethics,” the conference featured discussions on technological shifts in education, the growing use of artificial intelligence, and the challenges and opportunities associated with these developments.

During the program, educationist Prof. Dr. Bal Chandra Luitel delivered a keynote address on “Democratic Education and the Risks of Transformative Learning: How to Address Disillusionment?”

Similarly, Associate Professor Dr. Madan Singh Deupa, Head of the Central Department of Education at Sudurpaschim University, delivered a presentation on “Education for Transformative Development: Human Resource Empowerment and Nation Building.”

Local educational institutions, including the Association of Pre-school Educators Nepal (Kailali District Committee), Chaitanya Pathshala, Aadhya School, and Satyawati Academy, participated in the conference as supporting partners and collaborators.
