Chinese Foundation Distributes Relief Supplies to Bhote Koshi Flood Victims

Kathmandu: The distribution of essential daily supplies to people affected by the Bhote Koshi floods is ongoing.

The China Foundation for Rural Development, a Chinese organization dedicated to rural development, has begun distributing necessary relief materials to flood-affected communities in Rasuwa and Nuwakot.

Teams from the Foundation have accelerated efforts to deliver supplies needed to stabilize health and nutritional conditions in remote, flood-affected areas of Kalika Rural Municipality in Rasuwa and Bidur Municipality in Nuwakot.

The Foundation stated that addressing immediate health and nutritional needs has been prioritized, given that the process of rehabilitating flood-affected communities and returning to normalcy will be lengthy.

According to the Foundation, the distribution of relief materials is continuing with the aim of providing necessary support to affected families. Teams are coordinating efforts to ensure the rapid delivery of supplies, particularly to settlements that were severely affected by the floods and are difficult to access.

In addition to food and health supplies, the Foundation has provided 449 solar lights.

Meanwhile, it was reported that China’s Meteorological Administration has been continuously providing weather forecast information to the Government of Nepal.
