Third Shuklaphanta industrial trade fair kicks off in Kanchanpur
Kanchanpur: The third Shuklaphanta Agriculture, Tourism, Cultural and Industrial Trade Fair has commenced today at the open platform in Jhalari, Kanchanpur. The event is organized by the Shuklaphanta Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The fair aims to strengthen the local economy, promote self-reliance and build a prosperous future for the Far West. According to the association’s vice-chairman, Basudev Bhandari, the event will highlight local culture, promote tourism, display handicrafts and showcase traditional cuisine.
The fair will also feature agricultural and industrial products, a food festival, documentary exhibitions, a children’s fun fair, cultural tableaus and performances by local and national artists. The organizers expect over five hundred thousand visitors during the fair, which will run from Kartik 25 to Mangsir 7. The estimated cost of organizing the event is Rs 3.9 million.
Shuklaphanta Municipality is the main promoter of the fair, while expenses will be managed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, local levels, sponsors and stall fees. A 181-member main committee and nine thematic committees have been formed to manage the event. The organizers are confident that the fair, being held in the central part of the district, will make a significant contribution to local production, tourism promotion and the preservation of cultural heritage.
