Traffic Police Fine State Minister Janaki Kunwar’s Vehicle for Holiday Use

Dhangadhi: Traffic police have begun stopping and fining even ministers’ vehicles. Traffic police imposed a fine on the vehicle used by Janaki Devi Kunwar, the State Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development of Sudurpaschim Province.

The fine was issued because the vehicle, bearing the license plate Sudurpaschim Province 01001 Jha 0397, was found being driven on a public holiday (Sunday) without the necessary authorization.

Resham Prasad Acharya, Police Inspector at the District Traffic Police Office, Kailali, confirmed that the fine had been imposed on the State Minister’s vehicle. According to him, a fine of 500 rupees was levied for the offense of using the vehicle during restricted hours. The driver was found operating the vehicle on a public holiday when the minister was not on board.
