Government amends land use regulations for third time, land allotment resumes
Dhangadhi: The government has amended the Land Use Regulations, 2082 for the third time, and land allotment has now been reopened. The decision followed approval of the third amended regulations at the cabinet meeting held on Monday.
Land allotment had been halted since last Shrawan due to municipalities not completing land classification within the time frame set by the government. The delay persisted even three years after the issuance of the original Land Use Regulations.
Janakraj Bhatta, Chief Survey Officer of the Survey Office, Dhangadhi, stated that land allotment will resume in Kailali following the amended regulations. He added that detailed information will be available after the revised regulations are published in the gazette.
